The development of data centres in Indonesia

A data centre is a location or facility that performs centralised computing processes for various digital services such as the internet, cloud computing, data analysis, and artificial intelligence. Due to the rapidly increasing needs of the digital ecosystem, the construction of high-quality data centres is essential. The increase in the number of data centres will improve computing capabilities, enabling people to access data anytime, anywhere. According to a report by Mordor Intelligence, the Indonesian data centre market is projected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 14 per cent, reaching 3.98 billion USD by 2028.

Bridging the gap in demand for sustainable data centres

In Indonesia, throughout 2021-2024, there were many data centre construction and expansion projects to meet demand for cloud computing and artificial intelligence, located in Jakarta, Karawang, and Cikarang. In the process, AVK Fusion Indonesia has successfully supplied more than 5,000 valves, now installed to support a more sustainable data centre, specifically in the cooling system. In this regard, AVK Fusion Indonesia, through ICV, a member of the AVK group, supplied a large number of large concentric butterfly valves, manual balancing valves, balancing control valves, and motorised control valves. This project was carried out in collaboration with AVK Fusion Indonesia's consultants and distributors, who served as a bridge to deliver quality and innovation for the development of data centres in Indonesia.
